Should You Be Worried About Hurricanes?

Hurricane season runs from June until the end of December. I don't want to belittle the seriousness of these storms, but I also don't want to sensationalize them like the media does.

In fact, if you had no choice and had to pick a natural disaster hurricanes would be the choice! This is because you know the season, can see them coming, plan for them, and the building codes in Cayman are actually very stringent that all of the structures here are built with hurricane force winds in mind.

While hurricanes are very destructive, you can prepare for them and see them coming. It's a comparatively good natural disaster to deal with, as opposed to Tornadoes, Flash-floods, Earthquakes, Mudslides or even Wild fires.

The Cayman Islands are well prepared to deal with this sort of situation, so don't let it sway you into thinking that a home here is a poor investment. You can trust me, I've been through a few hurricanes myself, and they aren't as bad as they're made out to be!

With this being said, please feel free to contact me in regards to buying or selling homes in the Cayman Islands. I'd love to hear from you!

The Many Benefits of Having an Eco Pool

Thanks for tuning in today, everyone. I am here today with Anthony Kirby, the manager of Eco Pools here in Cayman. I do a lot of work with pools and pool companies, and these guys are some of the best. We are excited to talk to you about an environmentally and economically sensible fix to a pool.

As you can see in the video above, Anthony and his crew just got done upgrading a pool system. They installed an energy-efficient pump, which allows you to dial back the speed of the pump and save on energy costs. The savings with the pump in just one month could be anywhere from $30-$50.

Not only is it quieter and more energy efficient, it is now a saline system pool that is less harmful than traditional chlorine.

Like I do with my other guests, I had Anthony and Eco Pools choose a charity to donate to, and they chose the Children and Youth Services Foundation.

If you have any questions, or are looking to buy or sell real estate in Cayman, please give us a call or send us an email. We would love to hear from you.
